Presentation
The laboratory’s library contains more than 30,000 documents divided equally between two distinct collections:
The Language Sciences collection contains specialized linguistic documents on phonetics, phonology, prosody, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, as well as on computer science, psychology, the neurosciences and medicine.
The Creole collection, the largest collection of its kind in the world, was added to the laboratory’s library in 2002. It contains an almost exhaustive collection of documents on French-based Creole languages (history, language, literature, religion, society and culture). It also contains a substantial collection relating to linguistic development in French-speaking nations (particularly African and Creole regions).
Furthermore, the library joined the Aix-Marseille University (AMU) library network in 2015 and the migration of LPL catalogue files to the AMU catalogue and the French union catalogue SUDOC for Higher Education and Research institutions is in an advanced stage.
